The Optimo Ultra 12x is a new high-end cine zoom lens with a completely redesigned optical design that allows for full frame coverage. It boasts well-controlled optical performance at each focal length and focus distance, striking a balance between contrast and resolution for a cinematic look. With no ramping, minimal breathing, and a fast 12x zoom ratio, this lens delivers superb image quality even at open apertures. The use of aspherical elements efficiently minimizes color fringing, while the short minimum object distance of 1.22m/4 in S35 and 1.24m/41 in Ultra S35 make it ideal for close-up shots.

Not only does the Optimo Ultra 12x offer exceptional optical performance, but it also features a new mechanical design that improves stability and serviceability. The moving components have been reduced in weight, and dust traps have been added to reduce dust inhale. The focus ring is precise and ergonomic with a rotation of 321 degrees, the largest in the industry, and over 70 focus marks.
