The ZEISS Contax 35-70mm f3.4 - FF (C/Y) lens is a zoom of a standard focal length used for film SLRs. It was, perhaps, the first standard zoom of truly decent quality throughout its range. It is, arguably, still one of the best standard zooms out there today.
